Don was the lead consultant for Northern Great Plains on value-added agriculture for a presidential commission charged with developing a ten-year strategy on rural development. He facilitated a working group representing the states of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa, and produced a final report to the commission.
