Thinking Is Strategy

Thinking-Is-Strategy

In a time of economic uncertainty, the focus for many organizations and individuals is how to survive.  Not only do large organization face the dilemma of cutting costs and reducing their workforce, the same can be said of small organizations.  Leaders who face such pressure to survive are inclined to become more constrictive in their thinking.  Strategic thinking is the process of developing a vision of where the organization wants to go, and plans on how to get there.  This can be stated simply as “doing the right things” (strategy) and “doing things right” (planning). The former means getting positioned strategically; the latter has to do with choosing the right tactics.  A simple motto is “doing right things right.”
